Hawai'i...here we come!

This past week we just got back from our Spring Break mission trip to the island of Maui.  As some of you know, Jay and I have a heart and a love for the people of Maui and the church there that KALEO College Ministry is partnered with, Valley Isle Fellowship.  It was a great week, to say the least, filled with working and hanging out with the youth and college, getting dirty in the taro field with some native Hawaiians in Ke'anae, cleaning up a YMCA, and MUCH more.  Jay was given the opportunity to teach to both the youth and the college group and also lead out a Disciple Now weekend on Purity.  I also got the opportunity to teach and prepare with Jay for the DNOW...what a joy that was to be able to do ministry together!  I can't wait to see all the Lord has for us in the future...very excited!  We also got to meet with the head pastor of the church, the collegiate/youth pastor, and the NAMB head guy for the state of Hawaii.  We got a chance to share our heart and our call to do ministry over in Maui for a couple of years.  All in all...plans are, in August 2009, to head back down to Wailuku, Maui for 2 years to do youth and college ministry.  All we have left is applications so that we are "on file" and all is a go!  It is SO neat to see God's hand in and through all of this...if you are one of the few that know the whole story you will very much agree and be in awe of the God that we serve!  Praise and glory be to God alone...He is so so faithful!  This past week, it was so amazing to see God's faithfulness and power.  Thank all of you who prayed for us...please continue to pray, for us, the church, and the island of Maui!
